Hypocrisy Bothers Me
His hypocrisy
is what bothers me.
He paints himself
as an anit-war candidate
and then supports
escalating war in Afghanistan.
So we trade one war for another,
how are we better off?
He paints himself as a liberal
but supports
“safe” nuclear power.
So we cause even more global warming
how are we better off?
He paints himself as a uniter
and I do believe, to some extent,
he will do that in
a sexist sort of way
BUT if many women feel disrespected
and discounted
are we really that much better off?
I’m not saying he wouldn’t be a decent president.
I think he would be
BUT I need to vote for someone
with whom I agree.
